Calder and Caden have enjoyed some firsts in the last couple months.

SCHOOL

Calder started preschool this year at YMCA. He's only going 2 days a week from 9 to noon but I think it's been great for him socially and academically. He's really learned a lot. It's a nice break for Mom and Dad too! It's funny that such a small thing really had an impact on me though...it was exciting to see him off that first day but I couldn't believe that my baby was old enough to go to school! It was definitely a bitter sweet moment.

HAIR CUT
Caden's hair reminds me of Calder's at that age...He had beautiful blonde curls that eventually grew into a mullet. So, it was time for a hair cut! There's a cute shop here in Mooresville called Pigtails and Crewcuts. It is designed for children and has made such a difference with Calder's hair cuts. We used to wrestle and fight with him to get his hair cut, and now he'll sit and actually allow someone to touch his head. And Caden was wonderful his first time! It helps that the kids can choose from a police car, a taxi, an air plane, and a fire engine to sit in during their cut. In addition, they have animal crackers and suckers for them to snack on while they watch a Disney movie on the wall. It is not the cheapest hair cut but it's worth it when you have kids that hate getting their hair cut! Anyways, here's Caden his first time around...he looks so much older now! Kids grow up way too fast!
